Accelerate your skills: National competition

Support young people to build the skills employers need as AI transforms the world of work – putting them in pole position for jobs. 

Plan time in to take part in our new and exciting national competition for 11–25s launching this September: Accelerate your skills, supported by Atlassian Williams F1 Team.

Designed for young people across schools, colleges, universities and youth settings, the competition challenges them to apply their skills and AI thoughtfully and responsibly to a compelling, real-world challenge to spark real engagement.

With the majority of employers consistently saying skills like critical thinking, creativity, adaptability and ethical judgement are crucial, this competition is a practical way to equip young people with skills that will be their superpower as they move into the workplace. 

Access the competition below where you can register, receive updates and download the Leader prep toolkit which provides key information and planning guidance.  Competition entries can be submitted between September and December, giving flexibility in how and when young people take part. 

The first 200 organisations to register will receive a postal competition poster in September to help kick-start participation and build excitement with your young people.
