Confidence and wellbeing Confidence and wellbeing Confidence and wellbeing Confidence and wellbeing

This lesson supports you to teach your primary school pupils the importance of wellbeing, and the role confidence plays in maintaining good wellbeing. Your class will explore what we mean by mental wellbeing and learn tips and strategies for facing stressful situations with confidence. Through class discussions, a case study, a role play activity and written task, pupils will start to understand how they can support their mental wellbeing at home and at school.

Confidence and wellbeing is part of the Barclays LifeSkills suite of career-related learning activities for primary school pupils (ages 7-11 in P4-7 or Years 3-6) to teach children about key skills for the workplace and which provides the opportunity to explore a range of careers and industries. This lesson has a focus on the core transferable skill of staying positive (resilience), if your class is younger or is new to the concept of this skill we recommend starting by delivering the activities from our Staying positive (resilience) lesson as part of the LifeSkills Introduction to core transferable skills toolkit before moving on to this lesson.
