The Protecting against fraud and scams lesson helps students to understand how to protect themselves and others against different types of online fraud, scams and identity theft.

Lesson learning outcomes
By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
- Recognise different types of financial fraud and understand how to reduce the risks they pose.
- Understand the ways in which identify theft occurs and how to prevent it.
They also develop students’ core transferable skills such as problem solving and communication.
These resources align to the Young Money Financial Education Planning Framework and have been awarded the Young Money Quality Mark.
