Find out about a range of job roles and what skills are used within a bank by joining a Barclays LifeSkills online work experience placement. Work experience can help prepare you for the world of work by building key skills needed and gives valuable insight into the workplace. This opportunity isn’t limited to those thinking about a career in financial services, the knowledge and skills you will learn can be transferred to other industries and taking part would be a great addition to your CV.
The placement includes 5 webinars, activities to test and deepen your learning, and the chance to complete a project. You will hear from Barclays employees, with the opportunity to ask questions and explore a variety of topics including:
- Early Careers at Barclays and working in financial services.
- Self-confidence and resilience
- Developing a growth mindset and understanding your personal strengths.
- CVs and preparing for interviews.
Barclays LifeSkills Online work experience is free (you will require your own technology to join).
The placement is available for young people in the UK aged 14-19. This typically includes Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 (England and Wales), S3, S4, S5 and S6 (Scotland) and Year 11, 12, 13, 15 (Northern Ireland).
