Updates to money skills resources

The suite of LifeSkills money skills content has recently been updated. Responding to insights from teaching professionals and the benefits of building key topics over time we’ve made changes enabling clearer sequencing through the content. This will support your students to deepen their knowledge as they progress through education and beyond, embedding skills to support with financial independence.

The content has been developed to engage your students with a mix of resource types including interactive tools and films. The majority of the content aligns to the Young Money Financial Education Planning Framework and has been awarded the Young Money Quality Mark. We also offer some resources which focus on numeracy (created in collaboration with National Numeracy) and gambling (created in collaboration with GamCare).

The table below outlines all our money skills resources broken down by age range and key topics they cover. We’ve listened to feedback stating a preference for shorter lesson plans and have implemented this where suitable, meaning shorter lesson plans and the creation of some new standalone lessons. Most lessons have been renamed to be more reflective of the content they contain.

The new lesson names are clickable and will take you directly to each lesson plan page.
